I grew up in Nottingham - yes Nottingham and I can definitely say thanks to England for my dry sense of humour. Other than that, I'm very happy to have left the grey skies behind and now be living in Jerusalem. 

 

Be it in Johannesburg or Jerusalem, our home and our hearts have been growing and growing as more and more of my husband's students have joined our family.  Their wives now have two mother in laws instead of one!

When these students started dating and getting married they often came to me for advice.  It seemed simple enough at first but I quickly felt that something was missing. What would you tell a close student  whose  wife demanded a certain birthday present, handed him the money for it, took him - well, dragged him actually - to the shop, then waited outside while he bought it, and was insistent that he did this every year for her birthday?

​​I went on a treasure hunt, looking for the most impactful marriage course that would give me the tools to guide our students.

 

It wasn't for my marriage of course - I've been married for 33 years (and happily too).​

How wrong I was. The marriage course absolutely transformed and deepened my marriage in a way that I never even knew that I needed! The course was just for me - my husband didn't change a thing but I radically changed the entire dynamic of our relationship in a very dramatic way. Who knew that it only took one to tango?

Honouring my parents, to the best of my ability, was something I'd wanted to properly  work on for a long time. It took a while until I found the tools that actually worked. The course totally transformed me. Doing the course gave me back my parents as a gift.  They didn't change - but I did.  It made me see them in a whole new light - in a way that made me realise how wonderful they are. They're unique, special and most importantly - they're perfect for me.

I'm an absolute realist. I'm not a dreamy, abstract kind of person. I am definitely  not the kind of person that says "you've gotta do this, it's literally changed my life".  When I say something, I mean it very literally. I'm also not the kind of person that thinks absolutely everything is amazing either!

 

So when I tell you that these workshops changed my life and that they're amazing - it's because they are. 

 

Most importantly, It's not me that'll transform you - it's you that'll transform you.

 I'm simply passing on the gifts that I was blessed with, and passing along the tools that helped me so deeply change my life.​

Do this for yourself. You can change. You can grow.

You can find so much joy and blessing in your relationships, or at the very least choose how you want to navigate and take back control of your dynamics.

It's too easy to get caught in a rut, we don't see a way out. Or we just accept the status quo. Don't!  You, no matter who you're dealing with, can totally transform the atmosphere in your home -with your husband, your parents and your children.
